I was raised in the beautiful island of Faial, in the Azores Archipelago, off the coast of Portugal. I am fluent in Portuguese.
After immigrating to the United States, I received my Bachelor of Nursing degree with San Jose State University. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain University.
I have been working in the Women’s Health field for the past 20 years, not only working at bedside inpatient, but also in the outpatient clinical setting assisting women with all their needs, including Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
I like to spend my free time with my teenage daughter and son traveling, attending live concerts, and being with family and friends.
Hi! I hail from the East Coast where I grew up in a small town outside of Buffalo, New York. I have over 30 years of experience on both the patient, as well as administrative side of healthcare, where I have managed OB/GYN and primary care patients, to managing multi million dollar healthcare projects, to overseeing health clinic operations in multiple states. I also hold two Master’s degrees - one as a Family Nurse Practitioner - and the other in Medical Anthropology where I have taught as an Associate Professor at a local community college.
More than half of my career has been dedicated to Women’s Heath - from aiding adolescents in understanding their reproductive health, to managing pregnancies through their nine months to helping women understand the complexities associated with their health as we age.

I graduated as a Medical Assistant in 2007. I’ve worked in OB/GYN for over five years. I’ve also worked in Dermatology; I have always had a passion for Women’s Health and am fortunate to have joined the team at Genesis Women’s Health.
When I have free time, I love to cook, garden and spending time with my 11-year-old son.
On the weekends you can find us playing paint ball. My son is at a competitive level and competes all over Northern California.
